What contracting agencies does ATT work with?

I've been working with someone for a very long time, and recently right clicked her Q and saw that she is now a contractor working for Pinnacle. I worked with a Network PM for a long time and lost touch with him (different accounts, different responsibilities). A few weeks ago we worked through a delivery issue. I checked his Webphone and saw he is a contractor as well. I need to go back and see what agency he works for.

So - in this uncertain times, is there a list of consulting agencies Global Operations and Services or ATO picks from for data potatoes? A list of agencies to avoid? And do these agencies offer assistance with writing a resume, or do people do that on their own or hire an agency? How do you best prepare yourself to hit the ground running in case it's your turn on the musical chair?

Don’t go the contacting route if possible. No benefits, no time off, no holiday pay, usually only last 6 months or so and you normally have to work for the nutjobs that nobody else can work with. Not only that, but it’s hard to get full time employment after working temp jobs.

Tech M, IBM, AMDOCS will be around as will some other Fixed Bid Contractors but these Vendors are generally hiring Testers, System Engineers and Developers...The rest or T&M type Contractors they are laying off left and right as Contracts run out.....I do not think they will be hiring Contractors any time soon...However, as they lay employees off and money starts flowing again they will hire Contractors once again as it is cyclical and no one will be left to do the work......

Lots of contractors were given 7-10 days furlough this month. No hours to charge in CMPM, writing is on the wall. ATO is a sinking ship.

They are cutting contractors left and right

I don’t know what a data potato is, but for the outside C&E field type folks, or PM’s and management that work in that space, the civil vendors (aka turf vendors, contractors) are a natural landing spot and are always hiring. Especially folks with knowledge of T systems, personnel and policies.

Don't bother, contractors are being let go in record numbers. I know some contractors who have worked for AT&T for more than 13 years straight, as a contractor, and have been let go... People better than most all the 'regular employees' on their team...
