Does anyone know why the Employer Paid Benefits shows 1,500.49 for RSU Award 3/19/2019-3/19/2019 on the pay stub? The $1,439.82 is what the Hours and Earnings says. Thanks in advance.

And out comes the tax and spend union members.....
And we thought dinosaurs were extinct.
@3twe I live in a blue state that sends out more money to the federal government than we get back. (probably to subsidize your red state that does the opposite) No joke, I got a tax HIKE from the Trump tax "cut". This really doesn't seem fair when Trump also lowered his own taxes and even slashed the estate tax so that his kids can get in on the tax avoidance party. You'd think this might bother the MAGA hat wearers, but it doesn't. Oh well, Trump did say he loves the uneducated!
I live in a low tax red state. Between Trump Tax cut for the middle class and my state taxes I got $1150. Not bad. Free money.
I started a small business and will get additional tax benefits from investing in myself.
Life is good.
For anyone that was laid off last year, will the RSU be direct deposit or will it be a check sent in the mail?
The RSU award was $1,439.82. I took the VSP package in December and receive $ 1055 after Federal Tax, Medicare, and NJ state tax. No SS taken out due to the VSP severance putting over the SS limit.
All the commission sales reps are laughing at yall. What you think uncle sam was gonna skip out on your check just because it was a "special" check. Lolol Na he gonna take double instead.
@1wik That only applies to nonforfeitable awards (i.e. you are retirement eligible). All others taxed for first half only.
Look closely at your paystub. Note the taxable income number on SS and medicare - about double actual award. They took 2019 and 2020 RSU medicare and social security taxes this year. That's almost 7.5% more than normal. Medicare and social security taxes won't be taken next year. Contacted payroll to confirm.
I got about $1045 and this ain't no free money, we worked our asses off.
@1aqz if you left under one of the conditions outlined in the Shares Agreement posted in your About You last February (like VSP) then yes.
Did anyone who left in 2018 receive the Stock Award ?
Seriously people, check all your accounts that your regular paycheck goes into, savings and checking, and you will see $898. total deposited (without state taxes).
More like $700 after 40% tax deductions
Sh-- 250
to the person that commented it was free money. It is the least they can do for the worker bees and distribute some funds while Chuckles lined his pockets and Marni lined hers and of course Tim Armstrong and his 60M so they got their and than some, we the workers need to receive a bit of combination. So i don't look at it as "FREE MONEY", it was earned money and deserving. Lowell, Marni, and Armstrong were given FREE MONEY!
Lol. I ended up getting enough to get pizza and an entree in usable funds.
We never get any awards since I’ve been here ever or at least since I had split my check. I didn’t think about it being a separate paycheck so my distributions to index funds took almost all of it.
You get free money and still complain?

The IRS dictates the rates at which taxes are withheld from bonuses. Also, retirement eligible employees have the bonus treated as non- forfeittable (not so for non-retirement eligible.)
If the withholding rate turns out to be too high, you'll get a refund.
If anyone still feels butt hurt over this free.money, call me. I'll take it off your hands.
$500
wmz.....lol.
We all got TRUMPED! The Mango Messiah raised my middle class taxes, while lowering his own and that of heirs of big estates. It's OK though because he comes out on stage and hugs the flag so i know he loves America.
I got $1288 I wonder why?
899 here. No surprise. Same ol.
I got severenced in February and was suppose to get but I didn't. Did anyone get it that was let go?
$665 here. Would have thought it would have been higher given that the award was close to $1300 before taxes. (25 shares x $52 per share).
Still free money
sooooo......
we knew the rate the award was going to be calculated at.
we know the tax code.
why all the surprise?
we should all know EXACTLY what would make it to our account.
@giv..correction. the bank hadn't updated yet so, yea about 900. Still crazy though with the taxes.
500 for me....that's nuts!!
Uncle Sam is ever present. It was close to 600 for me
