After everything that's happened, the way this bank is now seen as one of the biggest villains in the country, I'm honestly nervous about submitting my resumes to other banks with Wells Fargo on there as my longest employment. I'm honestly not sure if it will do me any good or if it will ruin my chances.

If not, don't worry about it. Most of the country knows the crimes came from the top down.
I put it on my resume but had the same concerns you do. I had several senior leaders at different banks ask me about ethical behavior while I was at WF. Be prepared with good responses to questions about fraud, your involvement if you were in one of the areas that had fraud, how you act ethically, and why you are leaving WF. It will come up but I think it’s better to list it that omit it
I don’t think anybody will hold it against you that you worked at Wells, as long as you didn’t get fired for opening fake accounts.
Just say you’ve enjoyed working there and learned a lot but feel opportunities for advancement are limited. If you’ve been laid off along with others nobody will question why. Just don’t come across as bitter. Say you’re looking forward to new challenges or some such and leave it at that.
Wells is a huge employer. Nobody is going to blame you for working there.
Just remember do not talk negatively about a former employer in an interview, no matter what you really think. Use negative situations to talk yourself up on how you handled them in a positive way. Focus on why you are looking for new position not why trying to leave current one.
Not sure how much of a gap you would have if not disclosed... If listing then I would have a well prepared and rehearsed SAR - situation, action taken, and result to explain any possible connection you may have had to negative events. The SAR could also be used to explain how you personally did not play a role in any of the negatives... anyone worth working for should be able to understand things from the SARs and not hold you accountable. I would expect to have a lot of "behavior" questions that could be used to probe. Lots of info on the web... best defense is a good offense. GOOD LUCK! :)
