This thought worries me on a daily basis. Now that WM iz under the T umbrella they will want their acquisition to operate as cheaply as possible. Given that T is not a company that is shy to outsource, I think that there is a strong possibility that they will try to pull of the same thing on the WM side. Opinions?

You said it, T is not shy when it comes to outsource it, so yes Warner will not be the exception.
just learn to write c-appy perl scripts and talk like you know what you are talking and never admit you made a mistake and you will be fine.
Yes
In the techdev org i'm in, we're at around 80%-90% contractor and have been for years. That trend is increasing. And no, we are not working on anything legacy; everything we're doing is strategic. Simple equation so do the math. If you work for AT&T and not a contractor then get prepared to be replaced by one.
100% guaranteed some area are being looked at now
Welcome to Bangalore
NO
LOL - yes they will turn over any rock and look in any closet to see who or what they can outsource.
Sorry but welcome to the T family.
OP, are you from WM? Do they currently outsource any IT work outside the country? Here at T, it is elextensive.
Anyone at T notice that Webphone has changed. You no longer can rally employees, they also removed some of the filters that were there.
I think, being the unimaginative "leader" that he is, he will use a number of inappropriate stratagems to cut costs. First he will cull support functions mercilessly. Then he will put pressure on the TWM legacy management to get "lean" and "agile". And on the top line side he will raise content prices to other distributors as soon as contracts come up for renewal. The one thing that will tie all of his "initiatives" together is a ham handed and relentless drive to bring more revenue to T and justify further gigantic bonuses. He and all his coterie of T execs are grifters. Their goal is to loot as much value as possible before the music stops.
