NJ unemployment yes or no for VSPers?

Getting conflicting answers. Some got approved then denied is this correct?

To answer questions below......I interviewed with a representative from NJ unemployment. Verizon was not on the call. The rep from unemployment was fully aware of the VSP. I do not have a pension so that was not a factor for me. I do not recall them asking if I had a pension.

Thanks for the reply YbDYt6F-1end.

Did they ask if you left voluntarily and if you get a pension?

I was reading if you leave voluntarily you do not get it and if you have a pension it reduces it. Any info will be appreciated.

@YbDYt6F-1end Thank you for factual information. Who did you interview with? The NJ state unemployment folks? Was a Verizon representative also in that interview

I am a VSPer from NJ. I left the business on 12/28. I collected unemployment for about 3 or 4 weeks and then my claim was put on hold pending an interview. After the interview my unemployment was reinstated. I’ve spoken to several NJ folks that left the business when I did and they seem to have followed the same pattern.
