From the home office in Basking Ridge, a freeze on backfills next week prior to a 2Q RIF and the role of ED will be removed. Too many EDs, so Directors will report direct to VPs and existing EDs will be demoted and have to look for new jobs. You heard it here first on "Pumped on Speed".

There are VPs reporting to SVP or VP. They should go for lean management above manager. All changes in VZ are wish wash. No real magic bullet.
More info please...
Are you saying they will be announcing additional RIFs across all lines of business? Or just to the EDs?
"Someone in our group was just promoted to ED within the last week."
That person will be gone in the following week.
in the business (b2b) channel we have so much Dead weight
You do NOT need directors, or MPs mostly. It should be the VP and a few MPs who can manage multiple offices. Get rid of the middle management and bloat.
GIve each senior manager 8- 10 headcount instead of 6
Doesn’t mean a thing. Verizon stays the course as long as a monkey in a sh** fight pays attention to the task at hand.

The ED in our office did nothing. Large call center, never help at meeting and she was located in the center, didn't have s blue s out the business and rarely made decisions. Complete waste of a top salary, must have seen writing on the wall, she's gone. EDs are not needed
aahhh.... makes me glad i'm out.
good luck everybody
Get rid of the fat. Useless position. They have a couple of direct reports
Executive Director. They're between directors and the lower level executives like VP and the like.
In my chain I've got manager, associate director, director, executive director, vice president, and so on. If you look at who's managing who there's like 3 or 4 direct reports for these folks. Certainly there's some costs that can be taken out at that level now that there's so few down below.
Make everyone a VP. Problemsolved
Something is indeed happening with some reorgs announced today. No idea what it means. Fun times!
Erec....tion Defiency?
Good move. They were overpaid and served limited purposes
WTF is a ED? There are first levels, second levels, directors, then VP’s. Where does the ED fit in? I know where the D fits in, I’ve been getting it for over 30 years.
Totally opposite, EDs move up becoming VPs, we need more VPs to run the business.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
