Mass firing in south Florida

Is there any truth to the supposed gaming in south Florida leading to future mass firings of techs and managers alike?

Why should my msoc efficiency suffer because of someone else's incompetence or inefficiency? It is supposed to be measuring me, but it is not. If my efficiency is down, then I am the one who will get reprimanded. They used to have a category called "lost time" to which that could be charged. HIgher ups don't want to hear that the procedures that they have mandated are inefficient. It is like the IT department who can do no wrong yet screw up all the time and make us use their buggy software. People who mandate work procedures but don't really know how my job is done.

what are they doing, completing the install ticket early and then working off a helper ticket?

Render unto Stephenson the things that are Stephenson’s and render unto wire tech the things that are wire tech’s. It is easier for a transit with a 28 footer to pass through the the eye of a needle than it is a second level to explain their cherry picking msoc number manipulation for personal gain to those of power.

@1enb you are wrong, honesty get you fired, because you’re not playing the system and not among people who make the upper management bonuses. Managers knows cheaters, 2nd level know cheaters, MSOC shows clearly the cheaters if you don’t blink for a second...and know where to look.

No one says anything unless it becomes the flavor of the month or they feel the heat coming down the pipe. Cheat people cheat, look at it this way you either become a star or get fired which was your destiny anyway being last behind cheaters.

"What about the employees who have no measurements to account for their time? I personally know one who has a small task and makes a big deal out of it, and constantly complains to the higher ups about what other people are NOT doing. They take as long of a lunch break as they want, time off whenever they want, work from home whenever they want. "

That is rampant throughout the company. Those people are the "leaders". That is what makes an att leader. The company can't survive without those people,

The metrics were never about productivity or customer service, think about it. If you have worked here 10 years or longer just remember that gps is for the tech's safety, see how well that lie worked out?

The 2nd level managers that are micromanaging the 1st level managers over number manipulation will be fired. If managers game the system for bonuses and brownie points you better get another job. Your not not wanted here. Honesty is the best policy. That is all.

I always wonder why only the “techs” are measured with all this crazy non-sense metrics. What about the “office engineers” and other personnel that interacts with the same tickets as the techs AND also have an impact on the overall timely completion of a problem resolve ?? This metrics are not supposed to be created on the name of productivity and better service for our clients ?? Why don’t measure everyone ??

How is that fair to good people who struggle to make their numbers? How is that fair to people who use creative ways to make their numbers? The company needs to take ownership of the monster that they created. It’s NOT the employees fault.

Well it was the SE that introduced MSOC to the rest of the company. Fitting that they should be the epicenter of these improvements in the process.

It’s the old “falsifying documents.” That’s right up there with “needs of the business.” Oldies but goodies!

Supposedly it’s related to false dwa’s, fake helper tickets and saving repeats.

Problem is that everything you are doing to beat the system is documented in the system. Not as clever as you think.

No surprise. In Illinois, one manager was doing training classes on how to beat the system. His 3rd level was happy as could be, too. "So we all know you techs aren't going to pick any work up after 3pm, so if you get done, do not sit on the order waiting for your time to return to the yard. What my techs have been instructed to do is watch videos so you HPC aren't above 3.5 hours. You could pick up another job at 3pm but if you're not working OT, and return that job to the pool, that time get's carried over to the next tech who happens to dispatch on the job." Beat the numbers my friends, it's the game we all must play.

don’t know first hand but I heard about it among other techs before reading it on this board. Supposedly a group in south Florida were fluffing their tickets , got caught red handed, and is the reason the company is now taking a much closer look at everyone.
