How to go on stress leave in CA

for those who don’t know how stress leave works:

For this to work you need to have worked 1250 hours in the last 12 months and be FMLA eligible or it won’t work

Call out using the cag app for 7 workdays straight,

On the 7th day call the IDSC and Tell them you’re on going on leave give them all your dr’s info.

DONT TEXT YOUR MGR AND DONT TELL ANYONE WHAT YOURE DOING.

Worry about Yourself.

You need to be on top of mails & paperwork from the idsc because it’s time sensitive

AT&T WILL HARASS YOU WHILE YOU'RE ON LEAVE

ignore your manager’s and scabbs texts and calls your job is protected for 90 days

The IDSC will request documentation from your Dr they will get a fax with your job description and your dr will need to fill out the paperwork VERY SPECIFICALLY why you need time off work.

Upon your last protected week You’ll want to let AT&T know when you’ll be returning to work if you’re returning most people use the time

Off to look for work so some do not return

Use the time productively.

To get paid, You’ll need to file disability through the state Just follow the directions on the packet the IDSC gives you It takes 4 weeks for your money to come through from the state You get a portion from AT&T in the end it’s the same pay as if you was working

Enjoy your time off!

If AT&T tries to fire You.

Hire an attorney

Keep all your paperwork and stay on top of the dates

When you return to work is when the real battle starts

You’ll be okay tho.

@YYJZIZC-1sxy - regardless of your statement. If an employee gets caught filing a false claim for stress, they will be fired. It has been documented enough in the Integrity Report that come out every 6 months.

“Fraudulent “ LMAO ...Att invented that word. Show me a manager who has never committed fraud or better yet show me one who isn't. ATTS metrics were design for fraud, and those that don't get the axe..They turned the good apples into bad ones and the bad ones just got more infested with worms...

How many posts are you going to make about your stress leave scam? Looking forward to reading about your termination in the next integrity bulletin...

That’s one factor they look at when closing offices. How much time employees miss.

And they will spy, and you’d better not be posting pics of your garden, cruise or anything else on social media.

Work is stressful. That’s why they pay you.

And FMLA is paid for some.

Good luck dealing with Sedgwick as well.

Anyone who abuses FMLA should be fired... and will get caught.

What happens when you hire an attorney?

If you take the route the OP suggests be very conscience of choice you make. S.I. Violations are very serious. Fraudulent claims will draw attention and investigations. Make sure you are above reproach. An alternative is to work within the System. You’ll still get the time off. The Management will have nothing to say and you won’t appear to be doing anything shady. Real is real. Fake has repercussions.

There are a lot of resources (online) to learn how to reduce stress. And EAP is there too (employee assistance program- look in HR Benefits) Try to remember it’s just a job, not your life. Or is OP suggesting a sneaky way folks can claim “stress” just to get leave of absence when there’s really nothing wrong with them?
