Anybody hear about what's going to happen with backroom associates and night receivers? Backroom associates already had to go through this c-ap less than 6 months ago to shrink down claims and receiving. We going to have to do it again with the night crew receivers coming to days?

Our two night receivers were only offered positions on the new Merchandising Work Group. ..No chance to remain in receiving..apparently they do not mind though...
It depends on how many backroom associates you currently have.
My club has 2.5.
Backroom has to work the 4 to 12:30 shift. (Evening deliveries will be unloaded/checked in by closing teamleads).
Only one full timer is allowed to work on Friday.
One of us works M-F the other works S-Th.
We assume that the part-timer works Tues-Sat 4:00 to 9:00. But, no one will know what the PT schedules look like until all of the FT schedules are finalized.
We were told that once all of the schedules are finalized (May 25th) they will open up 2 additional backroom shifts.
We assume that they are for the former overnight receiving associates and will be 4 -12:30. One working Sun-Thurs, one working Tues-Sat.
That way there will be one unloader and one verifier each morning.
A lot of this is speculation- only the 2 FT backroom associates have chosen their shifts at this time.
No more weekends off and you’ll be helping on the floor doing audits etc. should’ve taken the severance when it was offered.
