This is a question that came to mind only from going on boards of other companies in the business on this site. From what I see there is a lot more complaining on those boards and far more talk about actual layoffs. Is it possible that they are all doing worse than we are, o are Verizon folks just not posting?

uh tmobile added customers last quarter. Verizon lost customers. There is the information you needed. Verizon is an immoral company that treats their employees like c-ap. With all the employees they have p-ss-d off and their families and friends I forsee Verizon losing alot more customers in the future.
I don’t even think about it much when another building closes or they RIF a group in Verizon it has been happened my whole career and to me a few times. Maybe most of us are all just beaten down.
at least Verizon provides a decent buyout/severance package. some companies silently layoff thousands to protect their brand value. Verizon is fairly public with their layoffs and incompetence.
Welcome to the global economy citizen
Att recently layedoff their support specialist
VZ acquires other companies for the technology, network, spectrum licenses, and customers......not the employees....they are Riff'd. Good people now are out of work, with little opportunities, at the same level of compensation and benefits. And the older workers will not work again...yes and worse.
Verizon is constanly laying people off. With over a 130,000 employees there is alwats something going down. In 2015 Verizon had 177,000 employees now just over 130,000 so they axed over 45,000 employees in 3 years. Think about that.
Verizon will never be the leader that it once was, so in my opinion it will be always worse the others so long as we have the over paid and blood s---ing thugs we call Executives.
Most of those companies are doing true layoffs. Verizon, benevolent company that it is, first offered a buyout to just under a third of it's employees. These employees had a choice, unlike the one shafted in the InfoSys deal. Now if they hadn't gotten what they considered enough volunteers, no doubt there would have been a bloodbath.
All of these companies are either carrying too much debt OR need capital to expand - or both.
Better or worse is a matter of perspective.
