Overall they didn't lose any money. This is one cash generateing machine. Shareholders happy, everyone happy. We must remember Wall Street does not control the company. Their expectations are always overrated.

"LOL - yeah I guess they had to pay for all the new macafee licenses so the can put them on all the direct tv linux servers."

But we have to beat google and I am sure they pay macafee for virus licenses to put on all their unix servers. LOL senior management are clueless

the decision makers at att really need to get of IT and get a new career.

"Layoffs won't fix the fundamental problem of not meeting revenue targets"

Every one knows that, except for Randal and the cronies.

"Only better products and services..." - and none of that is on the horizon. Just price increase on any product that is still functional, more layoffs, and selling assets.

This stinks of incompetence to high heaven, but who's there so tell ...

Layoffs won't fix the fundamental problem of not meeting revenue targets. Only better products and services in the marketplace will do that. Management has been too busy buying instead of innovating.
