I say, pay me to build it, and they will come.
Once the highways were built, suddenly loads of cars sold, lots of gas stations opened, many motels and hotels built far from centers of population, all to accommodate drivers on the highways.
This new superhighway will similarly lead to new things, simply because it’s there to be utilized.
The genius of those planners of yesteryear is that they built highways, subways, bridges... on such a massive scale that, even if they weren’t fully utilized in their infancy, they allowed for extreme growth and still serve just as well generations down the line.
