My guess is that the troll on this thread is not actually a Verizon employee, but rather a middle school school student who stumbled upon this page and decided to have some fun. I don't want to believe that any of my fellow employees would act so badly. Most of my coworkers are very professional.

@dzrg I would not equate it to swallowing bait. A more appropriate analogy would be one engaging a deviant playing with themselves as they witness the act on the subway or trying to hold court with some whack job preaching on the platform of the station. Either interaction won;t accomplish anything positive. There have always been deviants pleasuring themselves in public or behaving in some other socially inappropriate manner and there will always be whack jobs ranting their delusions till the end of time. No interaction including forced institutionalization will change that. It is best to just move along and avoid these unfortunates. Trolling is just the modern day equivalent of a street fool or maybe more kindly put the untreated mentally ill.

@cjjc Why does this buffoon have to be either a child or a mo--n. Couldn't this person be both a mo--n and a child, in other words a mo--nic child ?

Most rational people union or not would automatically assume an individual proud of trolling and name calling to be immature. One could guess the reason for the immaturity to be the individual is an actual child or underdeveloped young adult living at home or whatnot. If not then the next most logical explanation is the said "troll" likely is a victim of some sort of developmental disorder. Buffoon while maybe an unkind word for someone who is a doltish and unintelligent clown is certainly more PC than say to call them a tard, fool, id--t or mo--n. I would think the moniker of Buffoon is well earned by the 120 up vote individual. That said why would the discussion of rumors in relation to EISP offers be inappropriate for this thread? Hopefully one is made soon. It would be nice to get a little extra payoff on the way out. It seems based on past offers that any date not in sync with the corporate end of quarter dates are entirely bogus.

In my experience, over the past 10 years, craft are not the ones with laziness or weight issues.

Most go to gyms.

Hey, @ciar, why not call a so-called drunk, lazy, fat lineman that to his face.

A, because it would be difficult to find one in any of those conditions and, B, even if one were found in a diminished state due to all three, he’d still be physically superior to you, and would dispatch of your weak and puny self easily.

Only a union buffoon would have time to step out of the bar in the middle of the day and respond on here after 4 or 5 beers of course.

Only a non-union buffoon has so little work to do that they can instead sit inside their cubicle and upvote their own comments 100+ times, while downvoting rational adult one 100+ times too.

No one cares that craft people work hard for the company and have worked for 30 years or whatever. Get off your high horse. You people are the biggest self promoters the world has ever seen.

@burq you are a buffoon. What kind of an id--t goes around threatening to troll, let alone with a sense of pride about it? The thread is talking about EISP offers. Craft people do not get laid off. When a surplus for "layoff" is declared we get contractual offers based on the circumstances. This is a perfectly acceptable medium to muse, comment etc. about such things. You seem like you need to grow up, move out and find better things to do with your time.

This is not a craft page, it is not a union page, it is not a strike page. It is a layoff page. It says it right at the top. Go somewhere else or continue to get trolled.

Exactly. Some of you act like you are 10 years old. This site use to have good info on it. Now wevhabe id--ts attack someone personally. Grow up. There are good and bad on each side. Most of craft have worked their asses off for this company. I sort of recall when we went on strike the company fell apart. Please be respectful

Name calling? Really? What are, 12? There’s good and bad apples in both camps. But on the craft side, there’s guys that have made careers of working hard and doing good work. And it’s simple math. The company saves money by buying us out. And we get to enjoy a bit more out of life instead of going from job, to coffin.

So save the schoolyard nonsense for Facebook or whatever. The rest of us are here looking answers.

@9njt - Don't worry. Someday your old lady will keel over from extreme obesity and you won't get nagged to death about that 5 year note you took out on your midlife crisis Harley. Bit you will will still need that EISP handout to pay for your 5 kids that all look like the TV repair man.

@9pni : I get those financial planning flyers all the time , doesn’t always mean an offer is coming . I got one a few months back and everyone got all excited and nothing happened . Just go about your business for the next few years then it will all be over . 2023 will be it for a lot of people

Somebody with access to that type of info is on the financial planners payroll....the financial people know when one is coming out before we know. Believe that!

If you think Vz is telling financial planners when they are planning layoffs, you are dreaming. That's funny.

Last rumor I heard was a month ago and said eisp will be announced end of May, off payroll by July 1st. It’s been very quiet since....haven’t heard any more rumors. I do know a lot of people, myself included, have been getting brochures from financial advisors with all meetings scheduled for May...and some in June. No meetings scheduled for July, which could possibly mean that they know we’ll be off the payroll by then.

@8alm : I don’t think he is smoking , kind of agree with most of his post . I don’t think an offer for outside techs is coming till 2021 , $6000 per seems high but would be nice , and I think it would be a flood of people leaving .

The best eisp will be 2200 a year up to 30 years and 50000. The 3 and 3 will not happen, the offer will be off the books at the end of December.
