For those who left VZ and are now looking to purchase their own health insurance coverage, any recommendations? I am in Florida and 5 years away from aging into Medicare. Thank you in advance.

Medishare is a reasonable plan. Keep on COBRA for as long as you can and move to medishare.
I recommend relocating to Western Europe, Asia, or New Zealand.
