Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

How far up the chain is the ENPS really anonymous?

I mean they make you log in for it, but as far as I know 2nd level doesn't know who said what. So how far up does it go until someone knows what you said?

I'm not going to fill out the survey and since it is "anonymous" the company will never know.

See how simple that is/was

Don't feed us this garbage about how filling out the survey makes a difference. AT&T allows their managers to date their own techs and retaliate against employees for turning them in to HR for breaking the COBC. The Asset Protection Group and HR is a joke. You are so full of SH!T to get anyone to believe that the survey means anything. How stupid are you people?

i think if you comments are legit, i don't see it being a problem. Just don't go crazy where they have to bring in the law and you'll be fine.

Make constructive and legit gripes and it will be fine.

As a person who collects the responses for a 5th level, I can guarantee you there is never an attuid attached. So I collect the data, find out what the responses are based around and then we tailor a plan that will try to accommodate. So I can say that my .org does take them very seriously.

I have already seen at least 3 reminders at different levels about filling out the survey. Some of them are claiming all the things that they have done in response to them. Sadly, none of us have seen any of those claims and people here just continue to say that the survey just does not matter. In the past, they had a peer level person give a high level response to the survey. We have no idea if they saw comments or not but they seemed to pick and choose what they talked about. It was easy to say "people complained about the lunch room being dirty". We never saw things about "people do not recommend our products because..."

Just mention that you're going to set off a bomb, or come in with guns a blazing one morning. You'll find out real fast how anonymous it really is.

On a serious note, don't fill out the survey. It hurts them more when they don't know how you feel than writing something that is not going to change one thing about AT&T. Boycott the survey and make them squirm.

Back to original question: "I mean they make you log in for it, but as far as I know 2nd level doesn't know who said what. So how far up does it go until someone knows what you said?"

I am an AM (2nd level). I have been through many iterations of the survey. I have never seen a UID associated with a survey. As far as that goes, they are indeed confidential. People don't seem to want to believe that, but whatever. I am just telling you like it is. Back to the original question, the further you go up, the LESS likely someone would be able to associate a specific comment to a specific person. As the AM working with the same people for quite some time, I can pretty much deduce who went with which comment. But I have never been asked by a L3 or higher to associate or even speculate on a specific person that may have made a comment. Not one time. Now, as far as some of the other comments go...over the next couple of weeks your group will be pinged by your supervisor, AM, Director and perhaps higher PLEADING with you to complete the survey. A couple of people have made the point that non compliance (not doing the survey) would be the most effective way to express one's discontent with the current state of affairs. Those folks are 100% correct. If you could somehow convince everyone in a workgroup to boycott the survey, it would be a far more effective expression of a disengaged and p-ss-d off work force, and it would go up leadership's rectum sideways. Unfortunately, that would be fairly difficult to do. So, it's up to you. To those that are continually saying these things aren't even read, you are 100% incorrect. They are indeed read and subsequently reviewed all the way up. So if you're going to fill it out, let them have it in an articulate and honest manner.

"I have found in that past that the questions at the end, for age, race, etc. sometimes gives you away"

There are no such questions.

Everyone on my team hammers them with negative feedback and gives them all zeroes. It’s been like that for as long as those surveys have been around. No one reads those things and these surveys are just a weak attempt by the company to act like they care what the employees think.

These are not anonymous. If your manager can figure out who you are by reading your comments you may as well just sign it.

My line of thinking is that boycotting the stupid survey will gain far more attention than wasting my time filling out comments they're not going to read or care about anyway.

By NOT taking the survey, someone up the mgmt chain will get impacted because their participation numbers will drop. They really don't like this as is reflects negatively upon them. This is why they harass everyone to at least participate in the survey.

I have zero plans on wasting my time filling this survey out.

They haven't listened to anything we've said for the past decade or two. What makes you think they're going to start now ?

I have found in that past that the questions at the end, for age, race, etc. sometimes gives you away. Like being the only person in the group between 45-55 yrs old, and white. If they want to know they can find out. I would say tell them what you think and not be afraid. I have blasted them a lot, and got the attention of my Director and he acted dumbfounded. And what I have seen nobody gets the actual survey only results and responses. Summary so to speak.

You are to have the expectation of ZERO privacy on anything you do on AT&T owned equipment. This is reinforced every time I read the “integrity bulletin” from asset protection and reiterated in numerous HR policies. In light of those facts, executive leadership is, WITHOUT A DOUBT, talking out of both sides of their mouth whenever confidentiality is promised. I do believe that the information gained from the survey is used by supervisors and level 3 and above, just not in the way they say it’s being used. Also I have been told by 2 of 3 of my previous Directors (ironically all of whom were surplus casualties in the last 3 years) that information from the employee survey is not shared equitably among organizations. As I am level 2 I have no access to any data from the survey except what my Director tells me and what gets shared by the mother ship in Dallas.

In short, once you’ve given your opinion they can pretty much do whatever they want with it, it then becomes THEIR story and they will tell it any way they want.

So a blast comes out this week from Mcfish with the survey link that was followed up by an email from the Chief of Staff with instructions for you to use the provided link in the Mcfish email and not to forward it to anyone else... so if you are thinking its anonymous, I say no freaking way man. I have been brutally honest in prior surveys and I'm still here but nothing ever changed...its pointless...

Supposedly it can be narrowed down by location if you're in a small group or by familiar verbiage you use.

Anyone know how the location comes into play? Is it based off of Webphone address or something else? If it's Webphone in my particular instance it'd be very easy to narrow me down as I'm only 1 or 2 employees for my given Webphone address.

AI immediately scans your responses, evaluates attitude, and marks you as keep or drop. Your answers are then fed into Big Data for further analysis and merging with badge swipe and network data. Big data then provides a termination date anywhere from 3 months to 30 years in the future. Anonymous to no one.

AT&T keystroke logs every damn thing you do on a company computer. Anyone who thinks they're anonymous has a lot of empty space between their ears.
