Wouldn’t it be easier both on the leadership and on the workers if they just announced how many people they plan to realistically lay off. Better yet, why don’t they reduce the amount of heads to the number they desire and start working as a restructured company. Think it would save a lot of us a lot of sleepless nights and misery.

It is gradual because att is k--ling it. they don't want to sell it they want to k--l it. I guess they can take a tax write off or something but wish they would sell it and let a company who cares about it take it over and maybe help the economy and employ some people. It would be the right thing to do so don't count on T doing it.
they are always restructuring because all they have is chiefs or "leaders". Look how many VPs they have and directors. They have directors that have no one under them. so when you have that many chiefs you have to keep moving so it looks like they are doing something and they get their job justification. It is crazy. I mean really what are are all these vps doing besides shuffling people around. Is anybody actually working on serving the customers lol - can't keep a straight face as I type.

I'm sure they are following a "process". one that that follows the legal mumbo-jumbo, so they don't get sued. also, they are trying to fly under the radar, keeping the layoff noise to a minimum, so-as not to alert media and such. there is too much old, dead wood at ATT. everyone knows it. everyone is afraid to admit it. att is trimming the tree, a branch at a time. there are too many id--ts, who thing T owes them something. they won't leave, so T has to terminate them. people forget, America, is right-to-work. companies don't owe you anything. if anything, T has kept the dead wood onboard, for way too long. now the dead wood has zero skills, and can't function in the real world...kinda like 90% of the libtards out there. so, instead of the individual taking care of themselves, they are now dependent on another entity providing all the services the need. which, as we all know, ends badly
