Our club has pretty much a brand new crew 7 months after the switch. Some couldn't handle the new schedule, some opted for the severence, I took a different position for better pay and the few who remain are mostly 20+ year associates counting the days til retirement.

It's bad but not bad enough for them to want to change it back at my club. It's basically doing the same work but just with customers here. Any merchandise that doesn't get worked in the 3 hours gets staged in various parts of the club to be worked when open. Day receiving is staging DC's on the dock and evening shift runs it. Day receiving runs what's left in the morning in between appointments if possible. They're trying to make people work overtime to make it happen.

2cik-...must be a manager...at out club the night stockers work hard from the time they get there til they leave...if yours did too and even more "expectations " were piled on them then of course they left...most people can run and jump but hardly anyone can run like Usain Bolt or Jump like Michael Jordan.

Our club is a test club for daylight stocking and after a couple adjustments, it works well. A couple overnight associates couldn’t handle their new expectations, so they got up and quit right on the spot.

It’s not going well at our club... but thats only because most of the crew left when the switch was announced... we’ve had glimpses of how it should be... like a day or two where managers and other people came to cover so it looked like we were fully staffed.. and those days ran smooth.. so it CAN work.. but like usual when people leave they don’t all get replaced right away... or at all

My club has been on it for a while and it has been an absolute disaster. Most of the crew quit, we only have 2 lift drivers (myself and the overnight manager). The trucks are all backed up, floor looks terrible. Not sure how much longer I can do this.

Either no clubs are doing it yet or everyone is scared to tell about it...

If you read the wire @-ees then you would have know block scheduling will be fully rolled out by June and by July for Nights to Days. Their terminology they're using is indicating they're going to be rolling it out market by market.

Test clubs have been doing it for about a year now, and yet no one seems to be able to tell us how the fresh departments work into all of this?
