Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Layoffs and discounts

Anyone know about how long it takes for them to end employee discount after layoffs.

Switching to philo after I cancel dtv. Wow is giving me 100 meg internet for 40 bucks a month and Verizon is coming real close to my employee price for 4 lines.

Just trying to get an idea of how long I have to pay off my phones and want the new internet installed before I cancel this att c-ap.

I was surplussed last year. Within 30 days of my off payroll date, my DTV went from$10 to $128. No notice of any kind. Start planning now.

"I'm not even being let go and get a better price on T-Mobile than the employee discount" - yep me too sprint is way lower and better coverage and service for me.

Yep soon as you are off payroll the discounts go away. Also depending on what promotion you purchased your devices under you may be billed for those or cancellation charges. I would check to see if you could get around that by dropping your wireless sooner.

You’ll probably want to cancel your service your last day on payroll. I wouldn’t be surprised if T went retroactive on any time after that to recoup their money if you were still receiving a discount.
