The layoffs were based on poor attendance (sick days not protected by FMLA) and total quality for 2018. So if a tech used sick time and didn’t obtain 90% or higher in a yearly average of 90% that specific tech was in the lay off group. From that group it was based on seniority.
Our guys in chatt where laid off bc they where low men on the totem pole,not performance.if it was performance based they would still be here. they out performed most of the senior guys

And the union f---ed us by including language such as "for the needs of the business" which means for the good of the company they're getting rid of anyone who rocks the boat or management doesnt like. Nice going CWA!
Wow! We are just temps? And have no life other than att! I got laid off back when att “merged” with bell south! On F---ing Christmas Eve, to say we are just a filler position is BS, well maybe just “wire tech” for now till they see that you are too costly! And than the cycle will start over!

These guys were all let go sporadically seniority did not matter, from 1 to 13 years. And just learned form union local that we do not have bumping rights or any other severance package.
