25 techs are laid off today in the Orlando area with senority from 15years to 2years. I'm sure this is/will happening throughout the country since AT&T is going to their Osprey platform.

Osprey is the replacement for DirecTV and Uverse TV, been testing it and have been asked questions about how it would work as a replacement for existing service. It will connect wirelessly so all they have to do is unpack it and follow the prompts
It’s because core took too long removing bridge-tap and repairing defective pairs. Thats why the quality is poor. What’s a poor wire tech to do?
I was shocked to see the techs that were let go today. It was based on only 2 metrics, 1) Attendance & 2) average quality for all of 2018. So basically if a tech was with the company for 12 years and called in sick 1 time in 2018 and didn’t pass the quality metric for 2018 only they were placed in the batch to be let go. WOW! Now what does the CWA do!
We lost ober a hundred techs in district 4 today 8 from my garage alone out of 26 not all by senority either one had over 15 years and was based on attendance and performance and a few at the bottom only because their wasnt enough with attendance and performance issues way to go cwa thats twice
Osprey is just a roku like box for direct tv now it isn’t a replacement for U-Verse or Direct tv
Any info on how in each yard
