Has anyone heard any more news if the Frederick MD site is going to close? Rumor is a announcement will be made in April, that the building will close in June?

Confirmed with cafeteria staff that they were never told that and are ordering things as usual.
A few things...
They keep this stuff so hush that I can’t for the life of me imagine that the news would be leaked to the cafeteria staff. They order food every week, there’s not a chance that many folks will be lucky enough to be laid off with non working notice.
As for closing down the entire site in 60 days, that’s also a huge stretch.
While postings are limited, there are open requisitions for Frederick right now. Customer service call center at that. Not sure why they would hire if they were closing.
I have no doubts that they will eventually close the Frederick site but I highly doubt they don’t provide more than 60 days notice. It’s actually beneficial for them to announce it 6+ months in advance to reduce their overall severance payments.
I heard today the cafeteria workers were told to shorten there supply orders because large layoffs are coming to the Frederick site.
Right, reliable source.......1st it was Jan, the feb., then march.....now April. PLEASE quit repeating rumors. People are STRESSED enough
Seems like a really short period of time between announcement and closing, but I guess it's 60 days. Wonder if they'll keep the it folks who work remotely.
It is a pretty strong rumor from a supposed reliable source. I guess we'll see for sure in a few weeks.
