Modern day Rome (AKA the USA) is burning, and all we are interested in is "Bread and Circuses". Here's how Google defines the phrase. "This phrase originates from Rome in Satire X of the Roman satirical poet Juvenal (circa A.D. 100). In context, the Latin panem et circenses (bread and circuses) identifies the only remaining interest of a Roman populace which no longer cares for its historical birthright of political involvement."

Where are the people that work in HR or other corporate areas? Are they just as happy? What about those whose jobs are being outsource? "HI! I love getting up every morning thinking about how my job will be outsourced soon and that I'm training my oversea replacement! It's a dream job!"

Yes, $600K to Cohen to set up a "meeting." How did Randy not approve this and why wasn't he fired for COBC violation? Yeah, rhetorical question.

Where are the employees who actually deal with the customers face to face in jeans and a hard hat not the wine sipping id--ts at the country club!

Your mission should you choose to accept it...

1) Act in the most politically correct way possible.

2) Tell customers you are offering 5G service when you are not.

3) Use customer information to serve them advertising in the name of human progress.

4) Slash the part of the workforce that actually does something while going on a hiring binge in the Corporate Social Responsibility, Citizenship and Sustainability group.

5) Provide a streaming service like Direct TV Now with a lousy interface.

6) Benchmark to the highest common denominator when determining executive pay and benefits, but to the lowest common denominator for everyone else's compensation.

7) Overpay when buying other companies (some with dying business models) for the purpose of buying additional revenue to prop up EPS which in turn leads to higher executive compensation.

8) Agree to egregious break-up fees enabling your competition to come back and take your customers.

9) Start a book club and then recommend a ridiculous book.

10) Pay Tom Friedman and others ridiculous amounts of money to enlighten AT&T employees.
