Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

A blind man can see where the layoffs are going to come from, and it is going to be from segments that don't contribute to earnings.

On the last earnings report, WM was not part of the Entertainment Group. On the other hand, landline telephone was part of the Entertainment Group.

I'm hoping going forward, that Warner Media continues to be reported separately, so it is easier to figure out where the problems are, and aren't.

The numbers I saw for Warner Media looked good, with a nice contribution to earnings. Meanwhile landline residential telephone had a 17% year over year decline. A blind man can see where the layoffs are going to come from, and it is going to be from segments that don't contribute to earnings.

Once they kill the union. Contractors will take over, just like frontier, and century link...it is the evolution cycle

Yes, Fiber and Copper will allow T to go out of business profitably. Great strategy for the blind.

Sorry bud .....Nothing but Nothing throws off cash more then the outside plant whether it's Fiber or Copper. Randell was recently asked about the Fiber deploy, he stated the cash flows that the network generates allow T to invest in 5G and absorb Time Warner and maintain the healthy dividend . Of course with Fiber maintenance will be less expensive and the margins will continue to increase as deployment evolves.
