Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Will the layoffs at WM be performed in the same manner as the recent ones at AT&T?

Think that the WM employees can learn a thing or two about how layoffs are conducted under the AT&T umbrella. Correct me if I’m wrong but I doubt that they will change they flawed ways in which layoffs are done. So, WM folks, you don’t have to look that far away in the past to see what awaits you.

There is a process. Finance, HR and Leadership will all work together to determine how many will go then affected work groups will be notified of pending surplus. Then HR and level 3 managers make determination who goes, and then notices will be issued. I'm sure Stanky already has his number from Finance, and they are working on the new headcount and organization charts, with and without names.

T is a horrible work environment. I am sorry you got s---ed up in this. Top down management. I am just a technician, but they s--- every last vestige of creativity out of you. You will learn to hate this company as much as I do. Some will say, just move on....well, we can't all do that after the time investment we have done. Have to ride it out for a bit longer.

WM employee here and Anxiety is all that seems to be flowing. Rumor after rumor. Just do it already. I feel like somethings going to happen sooner than later.

"So what does that mean exactly? As a WM and tv net employee I think it means that the decisions will be handed down from the top brass, with little or no warning. Id rather have it happen sooner than later becuz all of the anticipation and anxiety around the layoffs is not good and nothing is getting done right now."

If you value your creativity and want to continue working the way you want to work I would leave now. Don't wait for their blood surplus money. T doesn't deserve good people.
