Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Who decides who gets the ax at Warner Media?

I’m getting used to the fact that layoffs are inevitable at Warner Media, but the question remains will the order who gets to stay and who gets to go come directly from T leadership or will they just demand certain numbers and leave the decision to WM managemrnt?

WM isn't T. What I mean is the culture there is one of producing content as well as soliciting and being solicited by the community of movie-makers - directors, producers, etc. Morningstar's analyst report of 02/05/2019 stated "We expect AT&T will need to reach as wide an audience as possible at WarnerMedia to maintain relationships with content creators and fend off rivals, limiting opportunities to create unique experiences for its telecom customers." That seems to make it hard to guess who goes and who stays other than common functions like HR, etc.

Finance will give Stanky a number and he will decide how the teams will look in the end, and let management make decisions at level 3, based on performance goals from HR. Some may just be a straight cut, without regard, for teams being wholesale eliminated.
