Shouldn’t that be illegal, especially if we’re talking about former long timers who generated good earnings throughout the years. Isn’t that just the same as telling someone he can work for the company, but with lower wages and no benefits, just delivered in a different package?

"If I come back as a contractor hopefully I will be treated better then I treated the contractors working in my office, since I would be a former VZW employee."
If you were an a-- to contractors, then you will probably be treated the same.

Why would it be? VPS was voluntary... also no one put a gun to their head and made them come back to work for the same company as a contractor.
Employee no. Contractor yes after 6 months.
I thought if you took VSP you weren’t allowed to comeback as emp or contractor
Whats the deal with people coming back as contractors? Be strong, move along. Put this $hit show in the rear view mirror forever.
Its funny that they would give VSP to the people they needed. Probably never think ahead for more than a week
I left in December and they asked if I would come back. Why not?? I can make a ton of money for doing little to nothing like I had for the past 24 years. Just shows the leadership has no clue what is going on in this company
I’ve been offered a higher wage to come back as a contractor. It will cover my benefit costs when I have to start paying (after the 60 weeks). That coupled with a 40 hour work week is just fine with me.
Contractors are at many central offices. Who knows what for. Who cares, either, i will have 30 years svc by aug2023 so let them do wtf they want to.
Probably getting the same wage if not higher because they don’t need benefits .
Where is this happening?
Everything goes by agreements and laws. Unethical is not the same as illegal
