Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Never go to HR or call the ethics or whistle blower hotlinr

I used to work at at WF and took the bank global. This guy was harassing me and others both s-xual and otherwise, in fact, s-xual harassment and embezzlement was rampant. I reported it to HR and they tried to rape me. I quit and they business went down hill because I was doing all the work. They couldn't pass an OCC audit because the work wasn't done. The players in this case were eventually fired or imprisoned for other criminal activities after they were fired, but weren't held accountable for their crimes and misconduct when they were there as employees.

That would have led to a global recession. Dodged a bullet. LOL.

To the original poster thank you for leaving WF so they had to shutdown their ambitions of being a global bank. It was bad enough for them to create all those fake accounts in the US, but then they would have created fake accounts all over the world.

You should immediately be summoned to Norway to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.

And the "senior" manager was promoted to Executive Vice President working now in the Corporate Risk group. But the good thing is they had to shutdown the business and WF was not able to execute in the long-term to lend monies and issue credit cards outside the US because they were too busy f♡c|<ing around both figuratively and literally.

As the original poster the management and HR manager are still working there and this happened 13 years ago. Incredulous.

A lady I knew who worked at Wells Fargo as a teller was finding out money was being stolen from her cash drawers and she tripled and quadrupled in counting the money through the day. She reported it to her boss and became scared as something was going on. It continued to happen so she called the ethics hotline who called her manager and HR and was fired by the next day.

I worked for a company (not Wells) a few years ago where all the managers and directors filed complaints about a seriously messed up VP we all reported to.

He was one of the smartest people I've ever met, but he should never be a people manager. He was sadistic.

I quit two months after my first talk with HR, but I know my peers had been complaining for months before me.

HR kept saying they were working on it, and one HR person confided in me that the VP had been in training for months to help him.

To help him. Him, not us.

HR may be your only recourse, but HR is not your friend. HR is there for the shareholders, to keep the company out of the news, and protect the stock price.

The poster two below me is absolutely correct. The purpose of HR is not to protect you. The purpose of HR is to protect the company FROM you. The person who brings the problem IS the problem. Always. No exceptions.

The place is a walking, breathing, daily DISASTER. HR does not care about Whistle Blowers. They report them to Managers.

The purpose of HR in any company is to protect the company and its interests. Management within a company are the proxies for a company, therefore HR protects manager misconduct to protect the company.

What was stated about HR is true. That's is why Hope Hardison was written a letter of reprimand and basically fired. But all the HR mess began way before her as the CEO Tim Sloan had run HR before he was eventually promoted to CEO, many with unclean hands.

As much as the previous two posters don’t seem too believable

to me. I too can attest to the same problem. My direct manager blatantly retaliated towards me and other team members when we notified that person we were transferring or looking to transfer. She made a district wide rule that everyone who was posting for other roles had to inform her of the position prior to posting. When she was notified bonuses were withheld as well as people were put on performance improvement plans for reasons that “seemed” unfair. HR did NOTHING. They didn’t even stop her from requiring team members to inform her of their plans to transfer. After numerous people transferred (myself included) I noticed she was given a promotion with the new midpoint being about 50k more. Way to go WF!!! Promoting more terrible people who help ruin this company.

My group was warned by our manager not to go to HR about a racist/s-xist director (his boss) because he tried it with regard to another director who thankfully quit and it backfired. There is absolutely no recourse at Wells Fargo except to find another job and leave. The good old boys network and criminality are too deeply entrenched.
