As a soon to be former PTC I want to thank everyone for sticking up for us. Never in my life did I think they would eliminate our positions. I’m a 27 year associate and loved doing my job. Now we are supposed to train leads and managers before we leave. Good luck to us. They have enough on their plates already. Workday is a nightmare. Sedgewick too. And then there’s the Unemployment claims. Plus orientations. Keeping GLMS training up to date. Being an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on for the associates. This last part I will miss the most. I wish Sam’s Walton were alive to see how his company is going downhill. Respect for the Individual is long gone. Good luck to all of us who will be starting over. 😞😞

My position was eliminated with claims. It's hard finding a full time job that pays 20.00 an hour. If your pride isn't in the way staying with company part time might not he bad idea.
And I'm sorry that Sam's is getting rid of you guys. My PTC, in southern Ohio, is the absolute best person on the face of the earth.

No one told us about a new attendance point system?! What is it?
They rather pay for new i pads. You have stayed too long and make to much money for them. When they outsourced payroll it was coming.
I am a 25 year PTC ( fixing to be former). I am shocked and hurt and the same time. I liked my job and will miss the associates the most. I felt a lot of the times I was their protector, voice, coach and now I not sure what will happen when they need to talk to someone to get the reassurance that's needed. My only hope is that I made a difference and they will see that once I am gone. Good luck to all the other PTC's.
I’m not understanding why PTC it makes no sense. I don’t want to bash another department, but come on ptc goes before marketing. Just wait this role will be back in a year. Once we get visits and important files missing etc...lawsuits is all I can say. These ptc have had years of training, now they want us to learn it in 45 days. If I we’re a ptc I would train no one. Nothing against my fellow team but let home office train them. Yes I’m bitter 28 years over half my life shame on you!
Former PTC I feel the same. My heart hurts for associates. This new attendance point system that they won’t even tell associates about it. Just sad excited about my vacation, future and new career path. One monkey don’t stop the show. Blessings to you all!!
I am so sorry. I wish you the best of luck. Sad times for long term associates. I understand technology but I don't understand where respect for the individual went?? Our PTC is awesome and I will miss her in that role.
