Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

New World Order

I realized things had changed when I looked at town halls and they no longer talked about the part of the business I was involved with, when the only people with a home phone is my 80 year old mother, when there was limited OT in areas fiber had been deployed, when they stopped putting up new facilities house to house in areas after storms because there was no working service, when a distribution cable got cut and no one cared unless it affected their broadband services. The last 5-10 years has made me realize that the AT&T acronym no longer describes this company. Connect the dots on the legacy services. What happens when First Net comes to rural areas and we start to provide acceptable wireless services? When areas are fibered for 5G service? Just talking from a outside perspective but the world I have lived in for over 30 years is a dinosaur.

I understand the Landline business is going away but that is no different than the last 15 years. Stop defending the inept leadership of this company, as the layoffs are all over the place and not just in landline phone. They have made horrible decisions and put the company in massive debt, end of story!
