Can anyone confirm if and what the “deadline” to select option 2 (off payroll on 2/18) is?

HR told me no later than 2/17 to either switch to Option 2, or if you have already done so, switch back to Option 1.
Hello, Your MESA letter stated you have 5 days from surplus notice 1/28/19 to make your decision which was Feb-1-19 or today Feb-4-19, depending how you count. I hope by now you made your choice or it defaulted to Option 1 to staying on the payroll to 3/31 which allows you to find another position. If you chose or defaulted to Option 1, I believe you can change to Option 2 as long as Feb-18-19 hasn't pass which is also the early end of payroll date. This qualifies you for the severance plan, 6 mos pay. Best wishes, I was affected too after 40 years NCS.
It's on your MESA form if you are at risk.
I was told you have until the 2/18 to elect option 2, although, I would elect a day or two prior to be safe.
