I’m the OP, with the quote that was taken from LinkedIn. It has apparently been taken down. If it was a fraudulent post, then it was a particularly cruel one, what with the uncertainty in the company. But it was also had more than a hint of plausibility - again with the uncertainty in the company.
Or maybe it was a cynical fishing exercise to catch who’s reading and posting here on TheLayoff? I wouldn’t put it past people...

Look at G corp' Linkden page its true.
look at how the sprint/ericsson deal turned out. or the att/amdocs deal. att employees were "transferred" to amdocs...and eventfully laid off or forced to take salary cuts and reduced benefits...
