Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

AT&T should of kept on with UVERSE.. Direct TV subscribership is falling fast.

IMO Uverse is a far superior product that direct tv.. ive heard most people that have uverse say they refuse to move over to directv.

Unverse is pretty capital intensive. Had a bean counter tell me it wasn’t cash flow positive without it being bundled. Plus this younger generation didn’t want bundles. How many of them want a Pots line that they will never use?

Actually they were moving customers off of Uverse to free up bandwidth for internet access.

Anyone remember Randy Tomlin who was the President of Uverse? His departure was kept hush hush by Randy.

Uverse is a better product than directv, but the company makes more profit per directv customer than Uverse which is why they were forcing customers off Uverse to directv without the customers initiating it. They tried to do the same to me but I said I wouldn't switch.

Actually, UVerse IPTV was designed by Microsoft. Does anyone really think the people running this company could create something that logically well laid out, even with the early bugs? Just look at the software the company gives us to do our jobs with.

If Randall had at least half a working brain, he would have used the money he blew on TMobile and DTV to build out our fiber network, while continuing to develop UVerse instead of abandoning it to rot like everything else around here.

Uverse was vastly superior.to DTV which s---s ...as an employee I switched to Now because of our discounted price last year but really miss it...btw Uverse infrastructure was built by Construction not uverse as someone alluded to here..It had problems but most were ironed out. Att chose not to keep it relevant as they do with most of their products . We are paying the price for that currently.

Direct TV total

Subs- 1.6M. Last quarter NET LOSS of 403k subscribers. That is a 25% decline in a single quarter. How can these execs spin this as a positive??? That is a hemorrhage!!!
