Money was all good. Subscriber variations are expected as the industry changes. Just can't wait for the day I only subscribe to the channels I want to watch, but that would kill revenues.

Says income was in line, and revenue rose 15.2 percent. Even wireless gained customers. DirectTV is looking like a train wreck, legacy wireline is going the way of the dinosaur, and they have a mountain of debt.

No matter who is at the helm, I'm not seeing anything that doesn't point for more layoffs, in the declining businesses. Declining business equals declining employment. I think we can lose the idea that these layoffs are unwarranted. They're required for AT&T to stay in business.

When will the board realize they need to change the senior leadership team.... this is not 8th grade, 10 years of stock failure is ridiculous.. time for fresh blood at time, not an inbred AT&T employee... bring in someone from outside to formulate a winning strategy. Please!!!!

From the article: It lost 403,000 satellite TV subscribers, more than the estimate of 328,000 customers who left, according to research firm FactSet. AT&T also shed 267,000 DirecTV Now customers.

They're saying the numbers are so bad because they're using money to pay down debt instead of forpromotions, wireless handset subsidies, etc. Imagine what the numbers will look like after a whole year of doing that. So their video business turned out to be DOA and now they're going to sacrifice big chunks of the rest of the business to pay for it.

AT&T struggled to keep up with Verizon and T-Moblile on the wireless front, announcing that it added a net 13,000 new postpaid wireless subscribers last quarter, THAT IS BAD!!!

AND DON'T EVEN MENTION TGE DIRECT-FIASCO-TV.
