Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

I’m waiting for the virtue signaling

By the holier than thou types who are going to start complaining about American Workers kvetching about offshoring sand H1B abuse.

Please, someone call me a racist because I’m tired of seeing hard working talented Americans of ALL SKIN colors lose their jobs to less qualified (but cheap) foreign labor that can’t even speak proper English.

Please go ahead and throw the first punch. I can’t wait to punch back!

You suggest less qualified and can't speak English trumps cheap, but I bet if you were paying for something and you could get it at 30% the price, you wouldn't care what they looked like. You'd have to pass a law to enforce what you want, but that ship sailed long ago. Regardless, AT&T's main problem is a technology shift to companies like Netflix, Amazon, etc. An infrastructure heavy, high employee count, high overhead solution won't work anymore now with the price structure of the competition. In fact, Millennial's want all this content and services for free. So, people should check their mirror just as much as the business end.

You really didn’t think you are a value to a company and if so have you every picked up a book on the History of America and capitalism. Have you heard of Adam Smith. This is not personal. This is the American way. The engine of America is business and you my friend is dead weight. When slavery was abolished and cheap labor was unacceptable in America. Companies lobbied for deregulation to outsource the labor to make sure companies would not crumble and profit will be gained for the good old boys. The mind set have to change to small business sorry baby bird You are officially being thrown out of the nest.

As I mentioned on another post, Mag & Internet interviews with T show them proud to have "hired" over 37K new employees, into their ranks in 2016-17. No hard follw up questions where those jobs went to....a fair guess is the Call Centers overseas, East & West.

For every 1 person impacted by these layoffs, T should be forced to cut 5 H1b and offshore jobs.

But they won’t. I’m fact, they are hiring in those areas.

Total b---s---.
