T-Mobile/Sprint opening 5 new Wireless Call Centers while VZW closes theirs?

A damn shame that Verizon puts hardworking employees out of work (or throws them into a “Work from Home” setup that’s merely a halfway house toward being laid off) while T-Mobile/Sprint blows the doors off Call Center management with their TEX model. Look at Charleston, so many of the former VZW employees from the now-closed call center jumped over to the new T-Mobile call center and are loving it. Change your ways, Verizon, or else you will lose in all fronts.

Verizon isn't T-Mobile and so they are making the right choices, for them. I'm surprised they even still have domestic home based agents. Every company I've dealt with recently in the US who has call centers outsources overseas.

I have a work from home based job and it has been the death of me, I now live 4 hours from a call center and as far as career advancement within the company is concerned it has to be also home based which doesn't leave many options and as far as training goes, it's at a call center... I'm considering getting out of this company home based it not the way to go, it's a Dead End.

Whatever they are doing calling TMobile is a pleasure as compared toother carriers. They have made that a priority either phone or social media. FIOS is the worst. Verizon Wireless is decent

T-mobile outsources those same call centers to :rd world countries.. you don’t have facts, only PR stunts, which Tmo is good at.

I’m the OP, and what I’m saying is why is Verizon making the wrong choices in closing their call centers while T-Mobile is opening call centers?

Outsourcing and Home Based Agents. When centers close, employees are given the option to work from home.

Umm do you think ANY call center has a future in the next 5-10 years? Once merger happens they will close shop and outsource.
