I am hearing that layoffs are not over and more will be tomorrow. Any truth to this? I am curious about ATO.

@gkg, AT&T has been touting the hiring of 37K new employees during 2016-17, in countless magazine and Internet articles. If you are accurate about the Call Centers.....well there you go! T can claim "The Truth," just not the moral high ground!
And if you were in an affected group and heard nothing either way? What do we think that indicates?
All cuts are only going to be with US based employees, centers in Havant, UK , Brno, Czech Republic & Singapore Call Center, all of which have been hiring new employees for going on a year plus. You got to love the corporate freed taking 20 billion in tax breaks to only cut the US work force and farms it out overseas!
Yes, more tomorrow, until you hear all announcements have been made and you are not affected.
Hell, there are more next quarter, it won’t stop. My group has been losing people for 3 years straight.
Lost so many, I forgot their names.
They said 5 years ago they were going to cut 50% by 2020. They only have cut about 30%. It is going to be a rough year. Once ATO gets all field groups aligned, there will be another large cut. More with less.
Cheer up buttercup. You made it through today. Chances are, if you are worried, you number is close to coming up... especially if you look around and you are in a small office with no one around you. Don’t sweat things you can’t control.
I heard all impacted, including myself and another co-worker were notified today. Others were told they were safe this time.
