This company is laying workers off to meet an arbitrary performance metric. There is no actual justification for this degree of layoffs. Many departments have too few employees to do the work as it is, yet are continuing to bleed workers.

The best thing this sh--y company could do would be to layoff Randal and the Johns.

They are lying, I was laid off today in ATO COE, there is nothing declining there... It was a a 20% cut in our small 50 people group, all folks had automation, web skills.

Amen! Team mate surplused today for no reason but to meet a reduction number. NOT in declining area of company, no performance issue, an important contributor. This is BS.

What a crock of sh--! AT&T has spun the media in it’s favor once again! Agree with the previous post, layoffs are being done to cover up the incompetency of company executives!

Correction: AT&T is cutting jobs because it's incompetent CEO, board of directors and upper management, have saddled the company with an unsustainable debt load.
