ATO Managers-Do they have names

For the managers that have people directly reporting to them that will no longer have a job on Monday, do those managers have the names and know who it will be now?

@ 1ihm t's because at&t is going down the tubes. it it were better company with a bright future, these people would probably have relocated ( like really, why would they have to anyway???) and at&t would have probably even helped them. they don't give a flying f--- if they are skilled , dedicated or whatever. it's a very desperate company. i hope randall, stankey, donovan have a ball jacking each other off in the wh--ehouses of bangalore. they ran this company to the ground, and many people to the ground, and are still getting a nice check for it - which is just absurd. it's just a piece of c-ap company, no other words. i'm sorry your skilled employees will be gone, but hopefully it will be greener pastures for them.

@Xiitr72-1ihm - I don't see how that is possible for rural managers. On the fireside chat they said customer facing chain of command are not affected by these collaboration zones.

@Xiitr72-1ihm

It was rumored here, that those affected would be everyone that does not live (home address) within 50 miles of a collaboration zone. Has nothing to do with if your team can actually collaborate together or not. ONLY that you must live within 50 miles of a collab zone.

From your response it seems to be true. As you had your number one team member impacted.

I have a team of 14 direct reports, 3 of them are officially being cut on Monday. I knew about it back in November so I already told them they were getting cut to give them some extra time to find something else. 1 of them is my top performer who does the work of at least 3 other people on the team, but he's full time remote and appealing to my AVP did not change the selection. The other two were also strong team members, one is also full time remote and the other was a flex worker.

There is no designated collaboration zone for my team, so I'm not sure why it matters that they were mostly remote.

All these ATO managers and still no basic details: based on the members of your team selected, can you determine a pattern based on who was surpluses? Did you have any input whatsoever? I informally heard I was safe a week ago but I feel like smoke is being blown up my tushie. I live outside of all collaboration and satellite zones and have been unable to sleep the last 3 weeks.

To your question "I am still confused on what the criteria was for this round. Was it the appraisal review, without managers having any input at all?" ....

Does it really matter ?

A bunch of degenerates, psychopaths, are running the ship (into the ground ) .... do you think they have a criteria ? They make @#it up as they go ! All to save their @$$es ...

Your manager? It will be in the next round this year.

Most of the work, whatever is going to be left, will go to the vendors, where the execs have a nice setup once this sand castle will crumble, and watch them popping up in key positions there.

Heard ATO AMs were doing unplanned last minute EOY preformance reviews today, but not all their offices and/or direct reports. Thoughts are if you got EOY review today good chance you may be on chopping block. Who all had reviews today, AM drove 1.5 hrs to our office today and did reviews unscheduled.

We were all reduced to a weighted formula based on where you live and how much do you make. Not sure if there were extra points based on who you daddy is.

Anyone care to disclose more about "risk rankings?"

@tdp - unused vacation is paid BUT only for the days you actually accrued at time off payroll. If you have 4 weeks (20 days) you only earn like 1.6 days per month.

@htd - money in your HSA is yours always. It stays where it is unless you move it.

@htd: money already on the HSA is unaffected.

I am in ATO and I am assuming they have the names as my AM already told me I am not on the list (though asked me to keep quiet until announcements are made on Monday).

I am a director (not in ATO though) and I've shared the names with my managers. I had no input into the decision. So, yes, both dirs and mgrs have names of the DRs that will be let go.

I had heard about this risk ranking some time ago and asked my manager about it. He seems like an honest person (who himself is not in a hub or collab zone), he claimed he was not aware of this ranking.

Can you determine what criteria was used to choose those affected?

Are those on your lists all located outside of collaboration zones?

Anyone outside a collaboration zone not affected?

When was this risk ranking created? What was the criteria? Sad to know all that I have done and my fate relies on 3 numbers....Thank You

Just like in realestate. Criteria = Location. Location. Location.

Not in ATO but I have names of my DRs that will be told on Monday. I had no input and I was told my Director had no input. They were simply provided a list of all direct and indirect reports under them that would be surplused.

Everyone at T have a, risk ranking Number, from 1-3, if you are a 3, you will be leaving us pretty soon. I KNOW that in many instances managers were unaware of direct reports leaving.
