This would be the only way to get some realistic numbers. ALL the press is paid and bought by the dark empire....some by direct acquisition, some with ad revenue. You won't hear a peep from them.
You may help others who may get impacted by the subsequent layoffs.

@wgp: You are free to post names of anyone that has publicly identified themselves as employees of T. General rule of thumb, if you google their name and the company and title show up, your in the clear as that information is not considered personal and condifential.
@wgp stop being dramatic. No one is suggesting posting the names of VP's kids. And I don't see anything in the "rules" addressing mentioning names. The VP names and officers names are routinely found here. It helps let people know what is going on. I agree that you should not drill down below the VP level though.
Does anyone know what criteria they’re using? Supposedly it’s not job or rating related. All we’ve heard is that it’s related to geography, whether or not you live by a collaboration zone. Did you hear they’re targeting pension eligible people as well? It’s going to be a long weekend! 😬

Additionally, if you work in any one of the ATO orgs under McElfresh (specifically, Fuetsch, Mair, Parisian, and Robertson orgs), it would be helpful to list VP name (NO AVP, Director, Area Manager, or immediate supervisor names), your job title (e.g. Senior - Network Design Engineer), and the region you work in (i.e. AT&T East/Central/West). Also, please indicate if you are "retirement eligible" i.e. do you have the 75 points to retire no matter if you are not yet Medicare eligible (65 yrs old). As the OP said, you may help others who may get impacted by the subsequent layoffs. Indeed, good luck to us all.
