Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Is it true that Sam's and Wal-Mart are splitting

There bern alot of the yearly contract the we due with maintenance for clubs and machinery that Sam's didn't renew there contract does anyone hear anything different

Walmart

-Walmart US

-Sams Club

-Walmart eComm

-Walmart International

Different divisions under the same holding company. Each could have different contracts with different companies. Certain things they make standard for the whole group but each division has some autonomy. For example Walmart US didn't renew with Synchrony but Sam's Club did.

Sam's is 10-12% of their income. That's too much for them to justify spinning the company off.

Seems unlikely that they will split, it's about profitability and Sam's Club makes a profit. If they cancel contracts it's more likely that they have found a more cost effective alternative.
