T never stops lying
I wonder who received two...our Union rep advised us it was the Union who negotiated that deal...
"AT&T told CNBC the bonuses announced on Wednesday are above and beyond any existing agreements, which means some workers would get two $1,000 allocations: One with a new contract, and one when the tax reform bill is signed."
For L2 and L1 management bands they reduced everyone's merit increase by 1% to pay for it.
I see in the article
"AT&T initially insisted it had doled out $1,000 bonuses to 200,000 employees as a direct result of the Trump tax cuts. It was later revealed that these bonuses had already been negotiated as part of unrelated union negotiations."
That is incorrect. Looking at:

"AT&T told CNBC the bonuses announced on Wednesday are above and beyond any existing agreements, which means some workers would get two $1,000 allocations: One with a new contract, and one when the tax reform bill is signed."
Once a lie appears, that reduces how reliable the entire article is.
I don't get it, why would this news require a whistleblowers, maybe it's the coo or CEO because Wall st. Has known about this headcount reduction for months, go read the last quarterly report., it's all in there.
As far at T getting sweet regulatory perks, welcome to corporate America in the 21st cemtry where oligopoly and political lobbying power infuse corporations with these benefits, read "Myth of Capitalism" for a complete breakdown.
Well... the company is losing billions of dollars per year, and honestly our video offerings are not up to par. Everything we have tried to save the company from in-flight wi-fi to transforming into an advertising company have failed miserably. What is there to cover up as the company slowly goes bankrupt like Sears and GE? Would you prefer they shed tens of thousands of employees at once when the Chapter 11 filing hits?
