They know how to send and receive email after looking at osslog notes. Fire the lazy dropouts, we don’t need the additional emails.
They will have to cut them. There won't be enough level one Managers to report to them. Directors will likely be cut from there. Hopefully the overseas kids will be able to do the work ..it is not as easy as leadership believes.
The last surplus event in October 2018 eliminated complete workgroups (AM and all direct reports). These layoffs are serious folks. T isn’t messing around.
How can you condemn a whole group of people as useless? Just like you and your peers... there are some good AM's and some bad ones. That said I don't know why anyone would want that job. Their span of control (direct reports) keeps getting increased, they have to deal with a lot of clueless Directors that keep getting moved from org to org, and they also have to deal with semi literate windbags such as yourself. In most cases they are L2 with L2's reporting to them, they don't promote anyone anymore so they there is no incentive there either. I don't get the appeal at all. I suspect many just wound up in those roles and are now trapped.
We do have good AM's
My 2nd level works from home I see him once a year. That being said he forwards emails from his boss. Verizon does not have any middle managers and are much leaner take a peek at VZW stock.
