Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Have to wonder how many strikes some of these Execs get

Don’t hate the players (Execs)... in T’s case, it does not help that a strategy in video and entertainment has been pursued by Execs which is largely unsuccessful. Paying 80 bil for an asset (DTV) that is now valued at 40 bil does not help. Ignoring demand for broadband Internet and ceding a lot of that market to cable companies does not help. Having to slow roll the Warner merger because of the FCC (Trump) case does not help. Giving an unfavorable break-up clause to a competitor (T-Mob), reinvigorating them in the industry does not help. Losing focus on items like 5G does not help. Have to wonder how many strikes some of these Execs get. Employees (and shareholders) pay the price.

This was taken from @XaBpogk-bji. Think the OP is on point.

Those replies would be funny if they were original. Dude is right. We don’t have an implementation problem. We made really, really expensive mistakes.

How did they lose focus on 5G when ATT beat everyone else to the market? I just got it on my phone last week or says 5Ge now!

Creatures if the swamp, from project and to the new project. When was the last time that AT&T completed a project successfully?
