We now have a way to get out of COLR, if the serving wire center is not FTTP (Fiber To The Premise). If the CO (Central Office) can only offer POTS, we can file a form with the PUC to get out of having to place Cooper facilities.
I think they would love to walk away from landline, but what about COLR....carrier of last resort. Isn’t the company bound to provide phone service?
