Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

What parts of WM and T are they going to merge?

I imagine that some departments of both companies that overlap in their domains o work will be merged, at least that’s what’s commonly done in these situations. A y info what parts of the two companies will be merged into one entity and what is the possible manner in which they will perform this. I work in IT at T and that sector is always a candidate for these shifts.

The folks in El Segundo are scared sh--less of WM. They are trying to clean house to solidify their position, laid off at least another 20 or so in the already empty Irving noc. They have gutted u-verse dev and support in spite of the fact it is the only part of that group that added subs and regularly brings in money. DTV is bleeding subs, DTVNow (the "savior") is bleeding subs and money.

WM will dictate the terms of anything in the entertainment part of T going forward. The pendulum is swinging back east in a big way.
