@hfi: re: collaboration zones. I know that's big in techDev but it had not yet been a reason elsewhere. We support business solutions and its salespeople though, so by necessity some people are hot in CZs.

@1eok, I am curious for your reply because I may have misunderstood. You said, “not my first rodeo, been there, done that, got the T-shirt (but never the pink slip - LEFT on my terms).” Sounds like you were out the door!

But then you went on to say, in your final sentence, “getting close to MR75 AND retirement eligible myself, hope to leave on my terms.” So which is it? Are you still there or did you leave? I hand the floor back to you.

I am in a techdev org, From a VP down look at my org: 1,315 managers (I filtered on on mgt positions), 1,088 are hires prior to 2007, thats 83% of that total mgt force. There are 255 (19%) that have 30 or more years. Then there are others that meet MR75 with 20+ years that also can retire Back to the 1,315, 44% (574) have between 17 and 23 years, this represents the largest mass, years prior and after are in the 20 or less employees.

The company is carrying a lot of dead weight, time to shed it. Not my first rodeo, been there, done that, got the T-shirt (but never the pink slip- left on my terms) Getting close to MR75 AND retirement eligible (no tax penalties) myself, hope to leave on my terms.

Cash balance pension plan? Folks hired after 2007 are not eligible for any pension on retirement. Only 401K contribution is done by company for them.

@1pay What do you mean by not getting a pension? Don't new employees get a cash balance pension plan? It may not be a defined benefit pension plan, but it's still a plan.

sickening - hey but keep hiring new people - what a crock. I wonder how many people left in the company are still getting a pension.

Wonder what the reason (lie) was this time? Is the collaboration zone still being used (code for moving your job overseas) ?

Doubt if they even look at the Enps surveys this year. They know what to expect.

I confirm this was announced today in the org of the "King of Outsourcing," Sorabh Saxena -- though admittedly, he has a lot of competition for the title.

Outsource yourself, you dam* fool.
