Anyone know anything about 12 pm calls tomorrow? There safe 2 separate calls that I'm aware of but they are both at the same time. Usually the first call is the surplus pending g group and the second call is the safe group. A little thrown that the calls are the same time- not sure what to think. Guess I'll know tomorrow.

Good news The global ops needs a 50% reduction. They are so lame
On my noon call we were told we were safe. On the other noon call, they were informed they are at risk for surplus. Those chosen will be notified on 3/22 with off payroll date of 5/21. Rumor has it the surplused will be notified via email.
What happened on the call this noon?
Global Operations under Sorabh. Had calls with our AVP levels. My understanding is about 10-12% (obviously not official as they don't share that on these calls). We just went through a 15% this year so looking at 25% in less than six months total.
12:30 call might be be "safe" call. The two 12:00 pm calls may be bad news. Maybe one is your job is eliminated you're gone and the other is a declared surplus?? Wishing I was on the 12:30 call not the 12:00 call.

The information on the document reads in part:
CWA 9- W/Field Opts Prem/Wire Technician
1Q19 = 0, 2Q19 = 475, 3Q19 = 0, 4Q19 = 48, Total = 523
I spoke with Labor and the response was this:
"This does appear to be a Working Document, which means it is not a final document.
The number represented for 2Q19 of 475 relating to CWA West has not been shared with Labor as of today.
The release date on the doc is 3/15 and there are no plans to declare a surplus in the West on this date next week. "
Mandatory meeting 3/7 at 12:30 EST within Global Operations & Services. Email came from "Process & Technology Transformation Office"
Finance here.. no ones talking. I wonder what those 2 phone calls are about.

Global Operations & Services........you would know by now - first email went out at 3 pm, the other email went out around 5 pm.
What department/group? Is it mgmt? I am in finance and haven’t heard.
