Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Lowell McAdams just sold a boat load of stock.

Time to get out now. The Verizon boat is sinking.

To bad the Lowell's mega merger with Disney didn't happen. The granddaughter of Disney has it right at it pertains to Corporate Executive Pay. He got out just in time to line his pockets at the expense of his workers.

The CREDo is a psychotic document, it was meant to marginalize union employees ... I am not union but fully support the right to unionize ... line workers are the ones on the frot line, climbing poles in the freezing rain, they make the true difference because they take care of the customer ... the CREDO was designed as a slap in their face. Forget the CREDO.

Do you think he knows something we don't and he can't release it? Maybe that's why he sold his stock.

And when you read articles like this you it really sets in the two different worlds of Verizon. This guy was over paid and now he is lining his pockets with Millions of dollars at our expense. He had done nothing but drive the company into the ground and yet the board continued to pay high dollars for lack of performance. This is what is wrong with the corporate greed today, no accountability for performance..... So why was he paid this type of output ? It is one thing if he actually delivered something of value. Oh i forgot he gave us the CREDO https://www.barrons.com/articles/verizon-stock-sale-ceo-lowell-mcadam-51551901698

It’s very rare for a CEO to not be chairman & ceo. It makes sense he is stepping down as chair. He might not have been given the option to remain as a board seat. Boards are usually focused on diverse business background accumen. Look at the rest of the boards background.

The only time the CEO is not chairman is when their being punished or some other odd setup. IE: Elon Musk’s current situation.

I don’t know him personally so I won’t guess why he sold the stock. What pique my curiosity was him stepping down as Chairman and once the meeting takes place he will no longer be a part of the board.

Verizon stock price will go lower.Thats why he sold the only reason Verizon stock price is where it's at. Because Verizon is buying back it's own Stock. The debt rating was dropped to BBB and hanging on before it becomes junk stock.

He didn’t “need to sell it”. Generally, that’s common practice for CEO departure (in some form or another). People often forget most of their yearly income is tied to stock not cash. As he gets his retirement affairs in order, he probably wanted some cash. Realistically, he probably hasn’t personally paid for much in a long time. If you take the time to read yearly proxy statements, this happens frequently with all executives not just the CEO.
