Verizon doesn't care about finishing off their contract with the city to finish their fios build..if the last 20% gets left hanging their done
It's still expanding with new high rise construction. A lot depends on the building owners.
FiOS is a dead horse. Wireline is a deader horse.
@1jps , I am one of those know it alls . Once fios is up and done it doesn’t need many techs to maintain . VZ has said their biggest expense is trucks out on the road and they want to eliminate that . They use contractors and temps for pole work and 5G . If you don’t see the writing on the wall , you are blind . Thankfully I am done this contract
Altice is advertising their brand new fiber network with future proof high-grade super technology fiber that is way more advanced than Verizon's FIOS....They are running these adds on TV and mailers to the homes as we speak.
So other companies are now investing hundreds of millions into building fiber networks and according to the know it all geniuses on here with their crystal balls Verizon is closing up shop and placing all their eggs into the unproven wireless 5G
