Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

B2B Sales Changes

Notice how your quotas are all sky high and all the intense micromanagement lately? Yeah, they are cleaning up to gear up for 2.0.

Here are the rumors so far

1) WBG and MAMs will be merged. Bottom performers from both groups will be sent to the showers. Remaining people will form revamped enterprise sales channel. Also heard metrics will be based off past 3 years performance. Everyone will receive cross training in wireline solutions.

2) MAMs will be given walking papers. Also a lot of consolidation in the manament space (MPs and directors)

3) Verizon has been much more bullish on call center based business reps. This is a huge risk for those in the SMB space in the field.

4) solutions architects and client partner connected solutions are in abundance. High chance of being on the chopping block.

Announcements rumored next week to take effect Q2.

Be nice to each other and Godspeed.

Honestly, all these rumors are a bunch of bullsh*t. The only thing I can see happening are the rumors around CPs and MAMs.

In my region, we really don't need Solution Architects, half the Sr. Managers can go, and they could consolidate the MPs too.

As for the BAMs & SMB, I wish they would stack rank them or at least offer severance packages, but they won't. Verizon 2.0 is a joke and at the end of the day we all will pip'd out due to increasing quotas & all the other c-ap they want us to do.

I don’t think there would be any rifs in sales. They’ll just get you out by raising your quota.

Also

I can say with certainty that the government client partner job will likely go away due to losing a rather large contract. Hope you all saved your money. No more gravy train.
